Eighteen boys ten St Thomas College plan to push a bed from Christchurch to Ashburton on August 19 to raise money for refugees from . East Pakistan. They intend to set out from the Square at 7.30 a.m. and hope to reach Ashburton by 6 pan. They are now canvassing business houses for support by asking sponsorship for every mile they push the bed. Hie stunt is the idea of the seventh-form students at the school, who are trying to provide themselves with a hospital bed; they will attach a sign with the names of the sponsors.
