Supreme Court BURGLARY CHARGES

Man pleads guilty

Patrick Joseph Ward, aged 47, a labourer, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court yesterday to chargeo of breaking and entering the service station of John MacPherson. on the Main South Road, and unlawfully entering the Islington Tavem with intent to commit a crime. Both offences were committed on March 17.

The Chief Justice (Sir Richard Wild) remanded Ward in custody to August 10 for sentence.

Ward, who was represented by Mr J. E. Butler, elected trial by jury in the Magistrate's Court and was committed for trial in the Supreme Court. On arraignment Ward pleaded guilty to both charges. Mr N. W. Williamson appeared for the Crown.
