Snow reports compiled by the Canterbury Ski Association at midday on Thursday are:— . Mount CheMeman.—Thawing conditions. Skiable level marginal, 5200 ft. Less snow than last week. Two tows workins above lodge. Weather calm and mild.
Amu rl.—More snow than last week, last fall light and on Wednesday. Skiable level 4000 ft All tows operating. Coronet Peak.— Last snow fall, light, on last Thursday; less snow than last week. Conditions fair from chalet to top of mountain. All lifts and ski school operating. Weather overcast.
Mount Olympus.—Skiable level 4000 ft. Excellent conditions. Field well covered. All facilities operating; road open. Lake Ohau.— Last snow on Wednesday. Conditions still unsuitable. Field closed.
Temple Basin.—Last snow, a light fall, on Wednesday. Less snow than last week. Skiable level 4500 ft. Conditions fair. Tows operating; goods lift working Saturday and Sunday. Craigleburn Valley.—No new snow since last week. Tows operating. Conditions deteriorating; chains should be carried. Fox's Peak.— No new snow. Firm from 4000 ft. Three tows operating. Conditions good; chains not required. Porter Heights—No new snow. Good skl-ing main and top tows. Access tow operating;' leamen tow limited: chains not required. Broken River.—Last snow a light fall last Friday. Same amount of snow as last week. Skiable level 4200 ft. Tows operating; road open to car park. Lake Tekapo.— Less snow than last week: becoming softer. Skiable level 4000 ft. Weather fine Three tows operating; road graded.
