Boycott in doubt

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BRADFORD (Yorkshire)

The England opening batsman, G. Boycott, is doubtful for the second cricket test against India after a leg injury he received during a John Player Sunday League game in Bradford at the week-end.

Boycott severely damaged his left hamstring when he ran to take a catch during Yorkshire’s match against Essex, and he had to leave the field. The second test against India begins at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Thursday. If Boycott does withdraw, J. Jameson, of Warwickshire, is likely to come In to make his test debut.
