FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—The anticyclone centred to the east of the South Island is moving slowly and a southerly airstream is flowing on to the east of the North Island; a depression off the New South Wales coast is deepening. Forecast: Canterbury, Buller and Westland.—Light winds with mainly clear skies; moderate day temperatures. Coastal Marlborough.—Southerlies fresh at times, otherwise moderate; cloudy and cool with occasional light showers.
