The touring South African Rugby team beat Australian Capital Territory, 34-3, yesterday and remained unbeaten after eight matches. They led 8-0 at half-time. The Springboks clearly outclassed a spirited home side which did well to contain them in the first spell but was no match once the South African backs took command after the interval. The South Africans scored five tries, and all were converted by the fly-half, D. Snyman, who also kicked a dropped goal and two penalties for a personal tally of 19 points. The try scorers were O. A. Roux, R. Barnard, M. Lourens, J. Ellis, and P. Swanson. P. Payten kicked a penalty for A.C.T.
