PROPERTY SALES
Of two properties offered for auction yesterday by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd, one, at 646 Colombo Street, comprising a two-storey brick shop on a section of 3.8 perches, was passed in for $35,000 but sold immediately afterwards by private treaty. The Government valuation is $21,500. A second property at 424 Manchester Street, St Albans, was sold for $14,000. The property comprised a twostorey house with two double bedrooms. The house, a garage, and a woodshed were on a section of 36 perches. The auctioneer for both auctions was Mr D. O. Chapman.
A property offered for auction yesterday by Christies, Ltd—a three-bedroom, weatherboard house on 14.1 perches of land at 12 Rastrick Street, Merivalo—was passed in for $BBOO. The Government valuation is $4OOO.
A property at 11 Tancred Street, Linwood, comprising a two-bedroom house with a garage on 12.2 perches of land was sold for $4450 by the same firm. The Government valuation is $2750. The auctioneer for both auctions was Mr P. J. Murray.
