The Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porritt) will begin a four-day visit to the Chatham Islands today. He will be accompanied by his two sons, Jonathon, aged 21, and Jeremy, aged 17, who are on vacation from Oxford University and Eton College respectively. The Governor-General’s aide-de-camp, Lieutenant N. E. Hodge, R.N., will also be in the party, which will fly to the Chathams in a scheduled Safe Air Bristol Freighter this morning. Sir Arthur Porritt and Mr Jeremy Porritt are shown after they arrived in Christchurch by air from Wellington last evening. They were joined later by Mr Jona-, thon Porritt, who was already in Canterbury. The party will be guests of the Resident Commissioner (Mr D. S. Reid).
