$470 stolen from truck
About $470 in cash and two cheques were stolen from a truck parked outside the Prince of Wales Hotel, Colombo Street, on Thursday evening. The truck, which was locked, was broken into between 6 p;m. and 7.10 p.m. The money was in a suitcase. A house in Gasson Street, Sydenham, was broken into on Thursday between 8 pun. and 11.30 p.m. and $2B stolen. On the same day, a television set, a watch, and money—worth a total of $2OO —were stolen from a house in Orbell Street, Sydenham. .
