Levy up $50,000
(From Out Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. The Racing Conference yesterday agreed to Increase its levy on racing clubs by $50,000 to $230,000. The conference president (Mr R. A. Whyte) told representatives at their annual conference in Wellington that the conference had made substantial salary increases to its stipendiary stewards and racecourse inspectors, and office staffi would be also getting InIt would cost $32,000 to produce the new stud book, which would appear early next year.
