Reserve Bank appointment
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 15. Mr H. J. Lorimer has been appointed secretary of the Reserve Bank to succeed Mr I. K. Martin, who has retired and -taken up an overseas Post. Mr Lorimer was educated at Christchurch Boys’ High School, the University of Canterbury and Victoria University, and served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force and the Army Education and Welfare Service during the Second World War. He joined the Reserve Bank in 1950 aS its first librarian. Mr R. E. Wilton, will succeed Mr Lorimer as deputy secretary.
