RUGBY TOUR REFEREES

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Mr W. L. Adlam, of Wanganui, who refereed the match between Wellington and the British Isles last month, has been appointed to referee the tourists’ match with Auckland on July 24. The appointment was announced by the secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union (Mr R. Morgan). A second refereeing appointment is that of Mr R. E. Courtney (Auckland), who will control the match between the Lions and Poverty Bay-East Coast at Gisborne next Wednesday.
