Parking outside P.O.

Sir, —l suggest the installation of bells, buzzers or conspicuous lights on the expiry of the 10-minute parking allotted outside the Chief Post Office, Cathedral Square. I experience considerable difficulty often in this area because of flagrant violators, who prevent me parking to post mail—sometimes even at quiet hours. Could the Ministry of Transport enforce the regulations when they gain sufficient staff?—Yours, etc., BRIAN F. WALKLIN. July 11, 1971. [Mr A. Goldsmith, superintendent for the Ministry of Transport, replies: “I am informed that the area referred to is given constant attention, both during the daytime and evening, including weekends. If the correspondent would advise this office of the times he is having these problems, steps will be taken to ensure that vehicles are not parking over the time limit.”]
