Hopkins in reserves

R. A. Hopkins, the Lions’ half-back has expressed admiration for the work done by George Nepia on his severely bruised thigh. He ran with the teum in training yesterday, but the Nepia cure has obviously not been complete because Hopkins ran only lightly.

Much of the hardness caused by the burst blood vessel has disappeared, but the thigh is continuing to cause Hopkins some discomfort. Dr D. W. C. Smith, the Lions* manager, asked about the injury, said: “Ray Hopkins is coming along 0.K.” J. P. R. Williams left the training early with a sore throat and P. Dixon missed altogether, suffering from flu.
