CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL PROPOSAL TO PURCHASE LAND BY INSTALMENT SYSTEM. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Christchurch City Council has made application to the Minister of Internal Affairs pursuant to Section 165 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, for approval to the payment by instalments of the purchase money for the area of land hereinafter described. The proposed purchase price thereof is >212,500 payable by a deposit of 620,000 and the balance to be paid by half-yearly instalments of varying amounts over a period of ten years. The rate of interest to be paid on the balance of the purchase money that may for the time being be outstanding shall be not more than six per centum per annum. The said property comprises 1 rood 25.46 perches situate at Nos 5,7, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23 Victoria Street.
