Mr J. M. Ritchie, chairman of NMA Company of New Zealand, Limited, anounced today that applications and reservations received in the company’s issue of registered debentures now totalled $1,820,000, which was the maximum amount provided for in the prospectus, inclusive of oversubscriptions. Share allotment Group rentals N.Z., Ltd, has issued 39,000 shares at the issue price of 165 c, as consideration for the purchase of the Takapuna T.V. rental business of New Era Sales, Limited. Copper prospect Endeavour Oil NL and Tropic Minerals .Holdings NL have signed an agreement with the Indonesian Government for the exploration and development of a 4000 square mile copper prospect in the northern peninsula of Celebes for large porhyry type copper deposits. The agreement calls for an exploration programme and a feasibility study, to be carried out over at least six years.—(P.A.)
Debenture filled The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd. has closed the issue of registered mortgage debenture stock. Subscriptions received covered the full amount of the issue of $493,000, and oversubscriptions of $200,000. —(P.A.) British trade British trading links with China are to be improved, the Department of Trade and Industry has announced. The department said that changes in licensing arrangements, coming into force from July 19, reflected Government moves to bring United Kingdoril trade with China on to the same basis as that with the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.—(P.A.)
