Showgrounds facilities
Tenders for the new bar and shower block at the Addington Show Grounds would be called about July 30, the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association was told on Wednesday. Plans and specifications had ; been prepared, said the sec-retary-manager (Mr T. M. R. Maskew) in his report. ! He said that the present block could not be demolished until the completion of the new building, as it was. still in use. The association set up a three-man sub-committee to consider tenders. The association also set October 28 as the date for its annual export lamb competition, which will be held; this year at the Kaiapoi freez-1 ing works. *
