Stocking losses
In order to save damage to the stockings of the girl pupils of Timaru College, the school board is considering new types of chairs. The principal (Mr K. R. Miller) told a meeting of the board this week that the plywood chairs supplied by the Department of Education were “a menace.” “They crumble along the front edge and ladder girls’ stockings,” he said. —(F.0.0.R.).
