Chch bills soon
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, July 14. The two Christchurch City (Reserves) Empowering Bills should be returned to Parliament soon as ready to proceed. It is expected that the single remaining measure will be heavily amended.
The Local Bills Committee spent this morning deliberating on the subject—a final stage before making a report ■to Parliament. This may be done before the week-end, but it is belived that there is considerable difference of opinion about the wording of changes.
