Restraint on exports
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, June 22.
Japan’s textile industry today formally approved details of its three-year voluntary restraint on exports to the United States, to begin from July 1. The restrictive steps to be applied in four groups of cotton, wool, man-made textile and made-up textile goods provide for a 5 per cent increase in exports during the first year, and the growth rate should be upheld at 6 per cent in the second and third years.
