NAPIER, June 22.

A second child has died as the result of a road accident near Taradale.- on June 15. She was

Deidre Elizabeth Wheatley, aged 11, of Korokipo, near Taradale. She died in hospital today from injuries suffered in the accident. She and two boys were cycling to school when they were hit from behind by a car.

One of the boys, Russell Harley Lowes, aged 13, died four hours after the accident. His brother, Warren James Lowes, aged 11. suffered a broken leg.
