Play delayed

(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter —Copyright} LONDON. There was another delay at the start of the already rainwrecked second cricket test between England and Pakistan at Lord’s today. Although the weather was fine when the fourth day’s play was due to begin this morning, the outfield and square were still saturated. But it was hoped play would be possible before lunch. A little over three hours play was possible on the first three days of the match because of rain. The whole of Saturday was washed out and England will resume today at 133 for one wicket

Rugby.—Queensland defeated Victoria, 54-3, scoring 11 tries in an inter-state Rugby match in Brisbane.
