(Nti. Presa Aaaociatiom

WHAKATANE, June 20. More than 200 men employed by Downer-Comstock on construction work at the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company mill at Kawerau meet tomorrow morning to try to settle a dispute about the wages of carriers. One of the four men who delivers morning and afternoon teas to workmen is paid $1.28 an hour and the other three are paid $1.22 an hour. No work was done on the project on Friday or on Saturday. Tomorrow’s meeting is to be held at 7.30 a.m. Unless the three lower paid tea carriers receive an extra 6c an hour, work will not start.
