SCULPTURE PRIZE

Day to be judge

The director of the National Gallery (Mr Martin Day) is to be the judge for the Hansells Prize for Contemporary Sculpture. This was announced by the director of the Wairarapa Arts Foundation (Mr Rodney Wilson). The competition, for which h single prize of $lOOO is being offered, will be based on the Wairarapa Arts Centre. No restriction is being placed on the size, medium or date of completion of the works entered in the competition.

If the artists who enter work are agreeable the exhibition will go on tour after being shown in the Wairarapa Arts Centre from September 30 to October 22.
