First fifteen called off

(N.Z. Press Aaaoclotlon; NAPIER. The coach of the Hastings Boys' High School first XV withdrew his team during the second half of a junior grade Rugby match with Napier Old Boys at Napier on Saturday.

It is understood that the coach considered play had become too rough, and refused to allow his team to continue.

The scores were level, 6-all, when the school team was withdrawn, and the match was awarded to Napier Old Boys by defualt Mr W. F. Crist, the principal of the school said he had asked the coach for a report on the incident, and, until he learned the full circumstances, he was not prepared to comment.
