Woburn Abbey tragedy
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WOBURN (England), June 21. An eland an African antelope has killed a game warden at the park surrounding Woburn Abbey, the Duke of Bedford’s ancestral home.
The warden, who was killed last night, has been identified as Mr “Dixie” Congdon, aged 28, who was head of the antelope and giraffe section of Woburn Abbey’s Africanstyle game reservation, which is one of Britain’s leading tourist attractions.
Elands, normally peaceful animals, weigh about 15001 b.
