BOLIVIA QUIET

(NZ.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LA PAZ, June 21

Fears of a Right-wing coup in Bolivia receded today, and the hundreds of armed peasants, workers and students who had been standing by to crush any move against the Left-wing Government of President Torres are 'dispersing.

The situation is normal in La Paz, and the Minister of the Interior (Mr Jorge Gallardo) says that the Government is firmly in control of the country. There have been many rumours this year about Right-wing plots to overthrow the military Government of General Torres, who seized power last October.
