It is expected that applicants would have medical and/or surgical experience and preferably some experience in anaesthetics. The position will very likely be established as that of Medical Officer of Special Scale and the salaries for the various grades in this scale range from $5792 per annum to $9919 per annum. The commencing salary within the scales and the maximum rate applicable will be as determined by the Medical Officers’ Salaries Grading Committee and approved by the Minister of Health. Stratford Hospital has 60 general and 22 maternity beds. The medical staff is a full-time Surgeon Superintendent, a full-time Physician and visiting part-time specialists.
