Record price paid for pig

PALMERSTON NORTH, K June 17.

A record for a national stud pig sale, $620, was paid in Palmerston North yesterday for a South Island boar.

Mayfair Farms, of Bendigo, Victoria, paid this price for a Large White, Honnington Turkboy 23rd, offered on behalf of A. C. Jack, Balclutha. The Australian farm also purchased two other Large Whites and three Landraces, ■ including the supreme champion of the show, Timperlea Warwick 6th. Offered on behalf of G. Timperley, Coutts Island, Timperlea Warwick 6th, sold for $350.
