Prince calls on poacher

LONDON. A now-famous Lincolnshire poacher showed Prince Charles into his £3-a-week rented cottage, turned off the television, and went through his repertoire of 88 bird calls, the “Sun” reports.

Mr Mckenzle Thorpe, aged 63, then spent an hour telling the Prince about the good old days when he was caught poaching on Royal estates. The Prince of Wales had read Mr Thorpe’s book, “The Wild Goose Man,” and had enjoyed it so much that he paid a surprise visit to Mr Thorpe and his wife at their home in Sutton Bridge.

Prince Charles is at the Royal Air Force college at Cranwell, 30 miles away, on an .intensive jet flying course.
