Growth expected in J.C. yachting

Further growth in the number of young yachtsmen transferring to the J.C. class at the conclusion of their P Class days is expected now that fibreglass hulls have been overwhelmingly approved by a postal ballot of boat* owners. The J.C. register, controlled by the Christchurch club, has expanded steadily and now contains

143 yacht* of this design. The recent change in construction will lower main* tenance costs and increase resale value. A 12ft, two-man intermediate class sailed by crews up to 20 years of age, the J.G Is particularly suitable for harbour and estuary sailing waters. Its only competitor in the
