OVERTIME BANNED
Canterbury brewery workers introduced an overtime ban yesterday in support of a wage claim by Auckland brewery workers. The ban applies to maintenance engineers and drivers as well as to members of the brewery workers’ union, and will apply till further notice. The Auckland negotiations broke down when the employers held to an offer of 9.5 per cent in response to a wage claim of 18.5 per cent.
