2071 and all that
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) TORONTO, June 15. By the year 2071, women will need a licence to have a baby; buiying the dead will be outlawed; the employer will belong to the union and the 24-hour week will be in effect. These forecasts, by prominent Canadians, have been placed in a time capsule, to be opened on June 11, 2071, in the foundation of the new “Toronto Star" building. Burying the dead will be outlawed “a few years” before 2071, says a Toronto scientist. "Before bodies are cremated, organs that can be of use to the living will be removed to maintain the inventories of the replacement banks."
