Australian call
The Australian Institute of Public Affairs yesterday added its voice to the growing chorus of calls for a cut in migration. In a statement on a national strategy against inflation, it urged that the migrant intake be cut from 170,000 a year to 100,000, to reduce Australia’s massive investment in non-productive areas, such as housing.—Sydney, June 15.
