"Miss Geyserland” was dearly •'Miss New Zealand 1971" and once again very poor musical entertainment was provided, Surely in a telecast of nation-wide interest we can expect to hear enjoyable, worthwhile music, well sung and well presented. "Mad Movies," unfortunately containing too much Bob Monkhouse, show that many silent films are still not only presentabla but also well worth while. This is a field worth exploring. One of the finest comedy teams of the 1920'* was Reginald Denny and Laura La Plant Ronald Colman and Vjlma Banky led the field in historical romances, William Desmond was the serial king and Hoot Gibson, Buck Jones, etc., made fine Westerns. As you suggested, there are groat possibilities hereINTERESTED. JOHN OLIVER As one of the very keen and experienced gardeners of this city and one with, I consider, a very sound allround knowledge of all aspect* of gardening. I wj* most dismayed to see John Oliver’s garden talks are finished. I for one never found him at fault in any way.
