W.Z.F.A.-Reuter—Copirighi) JOHANNESBURG, June 15. A public opinion poll fa Johannesburg showed that 62 per cent qf the people intet viewed were in favour ot scrapping South Africa’s unique Immorality Act, which bars sex between whites and people of other races. A total of 280 people answered 49 questions in the poll, carried out by University of Witwatersrand law graduates. Ten per cent said the act should be retained as it stands, 16 per cent said it should be made more lenient, 6 per cent said its penalties should l>e extended, 6 per cent abstained, and 62 per cent said it should be scrapped.
