Kidnapped man freed
(N.Z Press Assn. —Copyright; LA PAZ (Bolivia), June 14. , Kidnappers, described as : “amateurs,” released a 62- ’ year-old Swiss businessman. ‘ Afredo Kusner-Kappeler last' week, after payment of an ' estimated $U525,000 for his 1 safe return. 1 Bolivian police said Kus- , ner returned home on his ‘ own after being left by his 1 abductors on the city out- 1 skirts. He said the five men 1 who kidnapped him from his 1 home on Monday were ’ masked and “amateur.” They bound, gagged and blind- j folded him with adhesive tape, and kept him in a horizontal position throughout his captivity. He said he was given only a little water to drink. Police said Kusner’s face and head were bloodied by blows he received when he resisted kidnap. Divorce Petition. Margaret Olive Busch (Mr H. C. Cottrell) was granted a decree nisi by Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday on a divorce petition against Colin Oakley Busch, a, bus driver, of Wellington, on the ground of a separation agreement.
