Road safety committee
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 13. A Parliamentary committee of 10 M.P.s is to study road safety. The committee will consider short-term and longerterm safety measures the Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon) announced today. The short-term measures might be incorporated in amendments to the Transport Act this session. Members of the committee are: Messrs J. B. Gordon, L. W. Gandar, J. R. Harrison, W. L. Young, W. G. Tolhurst, and T. F. Gill (National); and J. Mathison, R. M. Barclay, H. L. J. May and Dr A. M. Finlay (Labour).
