Prompt action by some Rangiora butchers prevented what could have been a serious fire in the premises of Chic Wear Knitwear, Ltd, High Street, Rangiora. When the fire was discovered, butchers from a shop across the road extinguished the fire with buckets of water before the Rangiora Volunteer Fire Brigade arrived. . Only slight damage was caused. &
