Condition of boy

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 8. Safe in the Auckland Hospital for observation after his six-day stay under a ward at the Ma.igere hospital for intellectually handicapped children, Michael Bevin, aged nine, was reported this evening to be in a fairly satisfactory condition. The medical superintendent of the Mangere hospital (Dr E. H. Densem), said Michael was transferred to Auckland Hospital for expert attention. He was a little dehydrated and undernourished. He will stay in the Auckland Hospital until he regains his normal physical condition.

Michael disappeared from his bed on Tuesday of last week, and up to 150 people searched for him. He was found yesterday, weak and grubby, but very much alive.
