Macßae not returning

(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER. I. R. Macßae, the player who is being named by critics as the one who could stop the rampage of the Lions, has no intention of returning to test Rugby. The Hawke’s Bay second five-eighths, and strong man of All Black back-lines in recent seasons, announced his retirement from test Rugby earlier this season. “I have not been asked to get myself ready for test matches. I’ve made my decision to retire and I’ve no intention of changing it,” he said yesterday.
