CHINA VISIT
Good will urged (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 9. A New Zealand mission to China should go with good will as its objective, rather than pure trade, said the Labour spokesman for Industries and Commerce, Mr W. W. Freer (Mount Albert) today. A trade mission would return with little to show for its efforts at this stage, he said. If a mission did go, it could include trade and manufacturers’ representatives, but its objective would have to be good wilt Mr Freer was commenting on the announcement yesterday by the Prime Minister (Sir Keith Holyoake) who said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was sounding the prospects of a New Zealand trade visit to China.
