Telegrams to U.S. delayed
A strike by employees of the Western Union Telegraph Company has caused telegrams to all points in the United States, including New York, Washington, and San Francisco, to be subject to delay.
The Chief Postmaster in Christchurch (Mr M. T. Reedy) advised yesterday that to facilitate delivery of telegrams, senders should use a telephone or telex address wherever possible.
