No sale at $126,000
The warehouse and industrial property of Wooff and Salvesen, Ltd, at 17-19 Lichfield Street and 25-27 Lichfield Street failed to sell at auction yesterday. The property was offered as two lots. Lot one at 17-19 Lichfield Street contains offices, showroom, garage, and workshop with a total floor area of 8700 square feet. This was passed in at $70,000. Set on 40.5 perches of land and with a frontage of more than 66 feet, the property has a Government valuation of $74,000. Lot two, at 25-27 Lichfield Street with offices covering 1800 square feet and warehouse or factory space of 3000 sq. ft was passed in at $56,000. This property is set on 33.9 perches of land and has a frontage of 56 feet. The Government valuation is $59,500.
About eight persons attended the auction at which Mr D. O. Chapman of Ford and Hadfield, Ltd, was the auctioneer.
