Woman dies, aged 155
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) RIO DE JANEIRO, June 6. Delfina Da Costa Freire, who at 155 was believed to be the oldest woman in the world, died last week the Associated Press reported. Although Miss Freire had said she did not know her age, a birth certificate found by a census taken showed she was bom on April 3, 1816. She died on June 1 of natural causes.
Miss Freire was reported to be, active, cooking her own food and doing housework.
