Art centre in Culverden

An art and craft centre, to be known as the "Wool Pack,” will open in a small shop in Culverden on June 1.

Local men and women have formed a group to establish a retail outlet for handcrafts and the promotion of wool in all in forms from raw fleece for spinning to homespun, dyed and knitted garments. Other crafts represented will include pottery, woven fabrics, screen printed fabrics, woodware, basketry, leatherwork, and paintings. The centre will be staffed on a voluntary basis during normal trading hours.
