1:5 bonus issue proposed . (N Z Press Association> AUCKLAND, May 30. JBL Consolidated, Ltd earned a record $403,077 net profit for the six months to April 1, the chairman, (Mr J. E. Jeffs) announced today. This figure, which is unaudited, is almost double that for the previous corresponding period, $207,000. Profit for 11 months to October 1 last year was $532,021.

An interim dividend of 6 [per cent will be payable on August 31 on the capital increased by the one-for-four bonus issue in February. This a 1 per cent in:crease on the dividend paid for the half-year in 1970. ■ The directors will recommend a one-for-five bonus on shareholdings as at September 30, said Mr Jeffs, but these bonus shares would not carry a dividend in the current financial year, which ends on October 1.
