Talks with referees
A meeting between the British Lions management and New Zealand Rugby officials on Thursday evening over interpretations of the rules lasted only 20 minutes—which was not surprising at this stage of the tour. The Lions manager (Dr D. W. C. Smith) said yesterday that the rules relating to the line-out, the scrum and the ruck were discussed “and there were no areas of disagreement”
