HAYES, Town Clerk. /39239 NEW ZEALAND FOREST SERVICE TENDERS FOR SITE PREPARATION: EYREWELL FOREST WRITTEN tenders closing at noon on May 31, 1971, with the Conservator of Forests, P.O. Box 513, Christchurch, are invited for land preparation for planting by deep and shallow ripping at Eyrewell Forest. Shallow ripping is to be at a maximum depth of 18 inches and at 8 feet intervals of an approximate area of 822 acres parallel with the windrows and deep ripping of approximately 55 acres to a minimum depth of 4 feet at 18 feet centres at right angles to the windrows. Tenders should be on a basis of a rate per acre for each lot. The type of equipment (to be supplied and maintained by the tenderer) is to be stated. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. Work to commence within seven days of notification of acceptance of tender and to be completed by August 20, 1971.
