QUEEN ELIZABETH II TECHNICIANS STUDY AWARD THE QUEEN ELIZABETH II Technicians’ Study Award was established following the visit of Her Majesty to New Zealand in 1970. The purpose of the Award is to assist interested persons to pursue the full-time study of engineering, science, building, quantity surveying, management, design, agriculture, dairy technology, forestiy, mining, tourism and any other occupation from which all the people of New Zealand many benefit. The Award will enable holders to undertake a maximum period of two years at any university, college, technological institute or any other institution providing higher education or advanced technical training in New Zealand or any other country of the Commonwealth. * Available to both male and female applicants. * There are no age limits. * Award will cover an amount to equal the cost of tuition, fees, books, materials, student union fees and other reasonable expenses. * A maintenance allowance is payable. * Reasonable travelling expenses are covered.
